About Me & PawPurrs
My name is Susan and my passion is animals. Would you like peace of mind that your kitty is happy whilst you are away, or that your dog is getting a walk during the day then let me be your kitty sitter and dog walker. I am DBS police checked, fully insured and will look after your little ones like they were my own.
I own two cats which mean the world to me they are Daisy and Nash and are brother and sister but with very different personalities. Nash has epilepsy but I make sure his tablets are given in a fun and tasty way to avoid any stress. They are both sweethearts and I couldn’t image life without them.
I decided that turning 55 my career path needed to change and I wanted to pursue my dream which is why I have started PawPurrs. Unfortunately not all kitties benefit from catteries which is why I would be honoured to look after yours. I know my 2 have routines especially with medications and are comfiest at home sleeping in a nest of one of my jumpers or dressing gowns. Let me be part of your happy, kitty stress free journey wherever that might be.
I am also a lover of dogs, they are our companions and best friends, they love unconditionally and bring such joy to our lives. The dog in our family is called Sandy and is a real character who charms everyone who meets him, he is a beautiful white Bichon, a photo of our proud boy is in the photo gallery as are my 2 kitties. Let me be your dog walker whilst you are at work or if you just need help due to a health problem I can spend time with your pooch, going for a 20 - 30 minute walk or longer. I would be glad to discuss what you are happiest with.
What you can expect from me
Your holiday is booked and your suitcase is out of the loft ready to be packed, the only important job left is to sort out your kitties holiday - just contact Susan at PawPurrs (thats me)

Looking after your kitties
Visits can be once or twice a day depending on your preference. The visits will include a little fuss time with their favourite toys if your kitty is keen, then more importantly FOOD. I will dispose of all old food and replace with fresh food and water. Food and treats as per your instruction.
Whilst your kitty is feeding, the litter tray will be cleaned along with any accidents . Photos can be taken and sent to your mobile to show you how they are doing along with a quick note from me. I will always leave enough clean food and water on the day of your return.
I will also obtain telephone numbers/email address/vet details and insurance documents in case of emergencies. For cat sitting, I will give you a "Prepare For Your Departure" form to ensure all criteria are met.
Dog Walking
Dogs love to hear the words "walkies" and the sounds of their leads rattling. If you have a busy schedule or just need a helping hand then let me help you with their exercise. Whether its a ball throwing game or a sedate walk I can accommodate their play time.
I will also obtain telephone numbers/email address/vet details and insurance documents in case of emergencies.
Extra Services
If your kitty/pooch needs to visit the vet and your work schedule is hectic, give me a call and I will happily take them for their appointment. Fee per vet visit is £15.00.
If you have Hamsters/Gerbils/Goldfish/Rabbits/Guinea pigs or any small pets that you would like looking after too then please ask for prices, the price will depend on what is required.
I can water a small number of plants/hanging baskets, take out and bring back in the weekly bins - please ask for a quote.
Other Bits
If weather conditions dictate e.g. heavy snow, local flooding etc. then I will make every effort to visit your pet as long as it is safe for me to do so. Should weather forecasts predict severe weather then I will make sure enough food and water is left in case a visit is not possible.
For your peace of mind I will be discreet on each visit, my vehicle has no logo and I will only wear everyday clothes not a uniform. I can on request turn on/off lights and open/close curtains depending on how many visits you require.
Costs & Charges
My first consultation at your home, there will be no charge as this is the time for us to meet, kitties and dogs included. This will allow me to ask questions on their food routines and their likes and dislikes. All information will help me to provide a happy environment whilst you are away.
For cats each visit will last up to 30 minutes at the cost of £8.50 per visit. If there is more than one kitty the cost of each extra cat will be £1.00 per visit due to the increased time needed. I do not charge extra at weekends. These prices include travel within a five mile radius of Little Dawley, Telford. There will be an extra charge for visits outside of this to cover additional costs .
Dog walking charges are £6.00 for up to 30 minutes and £10.00 for up to 1 hour. The time spent with your pooch can be a combination of walking and fuss time as dogs love company.
Dog walking fees to be paid weekly by Bank Transfer at the start of each week.
Key collection for Cat Sitting - I will require a key at least 48 hours prior to your journey. You can either drop off a key with your details to my house or I can pick up the key at a cost of £5.00. Returning the key there is a charge of £5.00 or you can choose to pick the key up from my house.
Key collection for Dog Walking - for repeat visits over a longer period, arrangements would be made to have a key available at all times.
Unfortunately Bank holidays, Easter, Christmas day, Boxing day and New Years Day will be charged at double rate due to high demand and only one visit can be made.
